Elena Kagan

It appears President Obama has selected Elena Kagan his current solicitor general to be his second Supreme Court nominee. She brings a new fresh approach to the court as she herself has never been a judge. Since she’s never been a judge, she has not ruled on hot button issues such as abortion or any issues at all in fact. This will be a plus for Obama as he can not take flak on rulings she has not made yet, but I’m sure he will take heat on her lack of experience. Her lack of experience however means she does not think like a judge who has been in the Court Room for over 50 years, she will bring in more of an outside civilian like view to the court.
She also if selected will have the possability to serve around 50 years depending on health as she herself is only 50 years old, which is quite young for a Supreme Court Judge. From the 2 people nominated so far she gets my vote.
