PTSD and Murder at Home

Jul 11, 2010 by

This is a must see in depth documentary done by Vanguard, and reported by Vanguards Kaj Larsen on the effects of PTSD at home. PTSD is causing more and more Iraq and Afghanistan veterans to commit acts of everyday crimes to the more extreme like murder. Kaj speaks with some of the veterans incarcerated for crimes they committed but either don’t remember or blame the PTSD for, and while a nation just continues to ignore their sacrifice and problems. Larsen is a former Navy Seal and is a combat veteran himself, and brings the reality of the United States “war on terror” and its battle scarred veterans into the lime light. The video provides some unsetteling statistics, like 1 in 5 Vietnam veterans were placed in jail at least once, mind you the “war on terror” has now outlasted Vietnam. Please watch this video as it is an eye opening journey into today’s soldiers and their suffering upon returning home.
