Pakistan Gave China Access To Downed U.S. Stealth Helicopter

Aug 14, 2011 by

The United States had demanded their helicopter back from Pakistan after it crash landed in Osama bin Laden’s compound and they did get it back but not before someone else got their hands on it. Chinese military officials were said to have been given access, by Pakistan, to take photographs of the downed helicopter as well as take samples of its special “stealth skin.” Pakistan loaded up the helicopter parts after the raid was uncovered and drove them away to a “secure” location and did not immediately return them to the United States likely because of how embarrassing the raid was for them. An eye for an eye perhaps?

If this turns out to be true it is likely to further destroy relations with Pakistan which have been on a steep decline ever since the raid that made most of the world feel they were sheltering Osama bin Laden. Pakistan recently took a step to prevent American diplomats from moving freely around the country and kicked out all of the U.S. military trainers.

This isn’t the first time that China has allegedly had access to U.S. stealth material. On  March 27, 1999 an F-117 flying over Serbia during the Kosovo war was hit by a surface to air missile and broke up over a large portion of Serbia. Chinese agents were quickly crisscrossing the region where the F-117 disintegrated, buying up parts of the plane from local farmers,” says Adm. Davor Domazet-Loso, Croatia’s military chief of staff during the Kosovo war. That technology is supposedly being used to manufacture China’s first fifth generation fighter; the J20.

While the operation to get Osama was successful it didn’t go off without a hitch. One of the two highly modified Blackhawk helicopters that utilized unknown stealth technology crashed just outside of his compound. Part of the tail rotor was severed off into the courtyard. The Navy SEALs were forced to destroy the helicopter’s sensitive electronics but the tail section was left behind and photos of it immediately circulated around military forums. Up until the bin Laden raid no one outside of the Special Operations community even knew they existed.

According to the Financial Times a person “in intelligence circles” revealed: “The US now has information that Pakistan, particularly the ISI, gave access to the Chinese military to the downed helicopter in Abbottabad.”

China is a major player within Pakistan and they’re investing in everything from ports to weapons. Very quickly after the raid was announced Pakistan hinted that it was going to give China access to the downed copter. Considering the windfall of events that has happened after we “violated their sovereignty” it would not be surprising to learn that they shared our military equipment with a military rival. If it is revealed that Pakistan shared top secret technology with anyone but especially China then you can be sure that calls to end our outrageous cash flow to Pakistan will be pouring in to Congressmen nationwide. Some of that aid has already been cut but they’re still receiving massive amounts of humanitarian aid as well as military aid that has already been guaranteed to them like F-16 fighter jets. Many fear that if we cut all ties with Pakistan that they will eventually become an enemy of the United States that we will battle later but it seems now that they’re an enemy and they want us to continue arming them so that they can fight us.

I am trying to submit a bill in Congress or a petition to stop all aid to Pakistan once and for all. This incident shows the American people how just how rotten the Pakistanis are

It would be wonderful to see something like your bill/petition accepted and passed. The Pakistanis have been biting the hand that feeds them for long enough.
